Summer time is my busiest time of the year. I couldn't fit in a blog for all of the shows I've photographed, so I decided that I'll summarize them for you through the weeks:
Week One - July 7 - SPC
SPC is a band that I've photographed the most. This specific show was really fun to photograph. It was at Sonia in Cambridge.
Week Two - July 18 - This Wild Life
Aside from my local photography, I apply to bigger shows and actually get in (I work for three outlets). This show, This Wild Life, was at the Sinclair in Cambridge. It was really fun photographing a band I've always wanted to see.
Week Three - July 29 - Summer Slaughter
This was a show I got last minute. I also had a show the same night. Traveling from Worcester to Attleboro is a fairly long trip just to blow your ears out two times. The label sponsoring this tour reached out to me asking me the represent them on the tour. This was by far, the best big show I had photographed...ever.
Week Four - August 5 - Dropkick Murphys/Rancid
I regret saying that SST was the best show I've ever photographed...it was actually Dropkick Murphys with Rancid. Actually, both were pretty good. I got DKM so last minute that I woke up and got an email confirming that I got in. I was the youngest photographer there. Imagine seeing a bunch of 30-40 year olds walking in a line then at the end was a 5 foot, 16 year old girl. It was cool.
Until next time....
